The cartoonist's role is not so much to instruct his audience, or illuminate the Truth, as it is to simply take an honest stand and present it vehemently enough so that it must be confronted. This constitutes the power of the cartoon to stimulate discussion and debate. And this is the cartoon's positive function in society-Bill Watterson

Dr Balakrishnan having meal with YOG volunteers-step by step progress
First , the rough idea.. sometimes it comes in a flash.. sometimes i have to "force" the idea out.
In this case, it is based on a news report that the minister mentioned he made it a point to have lunch with the YOG volunteers everyday .I will do a few sketches to get the composition I want.
I streamlined my idea.. imagining how it is like.. the minister sitting there with you, eating the same food . at this stage,
I decided this cartoon will work and refined it, as well as added in the necessary text...finished!
