i disagree with one of the anonymous. I believe that the famiLee has done alot for Singapore, and to repudiate that is equivalent to being blind to the changes made to and in singapore over the years. perhaps if u dislike their policies so much and since famiLee is here to stay, why don't you move go be a foreigner in some other country?

Sure, citizens are free to stay but wait, get rid of familee and "stooges" or is it mere empty talk that will probably never ever materialise? i m not brainwashed and definitely not as blind as u are.. i m not saying that i agree with every single thing that they implemented so stop being so peripheral and be more panoramic!

by the way, it is more like the famiLee has done alot to benefit themselves lah! take note that sucking up clouds one's vision. LOL

I read the speech. The problem is not so much the white collar immigrants, but the blue collar or underclass immigrants who are causing our living standards to fall dratically. This country was a better place 10 years ago than it is now. How and why is it that people without any education at all can come in so easily? This is not a place for "foreign talent" to come in; this is now a place for all kinds of rubbish to come in. They give a social visit pass to anyone who looks remotely human. Actually, I stand corrected. You could be an ape for all it matters and still be allowed into Singapore to live and "work", regardless of what "work" it is that you do. Do they even check? How are those Vietnamese prostitutes being let in, for instance? Or the China workers who don't speak a word of English? Or those "study mamas"? Or Malaysian gangsters who carry out organised crime from places like Geylang?
