The cartoonist's role is not so much to instruct his audience, or illuminate the Truth, as it is to simply take an honest stand and present it vehemently enough so that it must be confronted. This constitutes the power of the cartoon to stimulate discussion and debate. And this is the cartoon's positive function in society-Bill Watterson

letting in foreign workers by the hundreds of thousands and without any forward planning to accomodate them. this freaking govt expect thousands of them to just blend in with the locals.

The need to plan for their housing I can understand. The need to plan for their "blending" is less obvious. This is a cosmopolitan city, is it not? They are people too, aren't they?

talking about accomodation lah!
renting rooms with 10 or more in each room in local estates is blending in, but would you like them next door ?
